Welcome,

It is with great excitement that I announce that I am once again running to be Your Advocate in the Utah State House of Representatives District 44. District 44 covers Murray and part of Midvale.

I care about people and I care about getting back to our priorities: fiscal responsibility, high quality public education, affordable health care and economic development. I also want to continue my efforts to bring more balance to our government—the Legislature could and should be a place where issues are debated and where people from all walks of life have a voice.

Through my father and great grandfather’s experience in the Marines and my grandfather’s service in the Merchant Marines, I learned that serving your country and community is an honor and an obligation. My years of experience as a child advocate at Primary Children’s Medical Center, volunteering for Utah PTA, coaching Girls Jr. Jazz basketball, serving as President of the Murray Max Soccer Club and as a husband and father of four wonderful children have prepared me well to serve my community effectively and with integrity.

Our government needs people who can build effective partnerships between the state and constituents to formulate and advance legislation that protects, promotes and improves the well-being of Utahns. I have the experience, the background and the willingness to listen that voters should demand from their elected officials.

I am committed to Murray and Midvale. I care about the success of Utah's children, seniors, and families. I have advocated for children, and I have fought for what is right in our State Capitol, and now I recommit to giving you my very best as Your Advocate. You can count on me and I ask for your vote November 4th.

Sincerely,

Rep. Tim M. Cosgrove
